How these pages work
We take prices from each vendor's own pricing page, checked on 22 September 2026 and linked below. If a vendor's page does not mention something, we write "not advertised" rather than guess. We compare the products on fit for your kind of business and do not rank them on quality.
The comparisons
- The full comparison table puts FurSlot next to Goldie, Pawfinity, DaySmart Pet, MoeGo, Gingr and general scheduling tools.
- A MoeGo alternative: MoeGo suits a mobile business running more than one van that needs route planning. MoeGo charges $49 a month for Basic and prices Growth ($99) and Ultimate ($159) per van.
- A DaySmart Pet alternative: DaySmart suits a shop with more than one person on the book, or one that also boards. Basic is $29 a month with DaySmart's payments or $39 without, for one user, and daycare and boarding calendars are $25 a month each.
- A Gingr alternative: Gingr designed its software for kennels and daycares that also groom. Its cheapest plan, Spa, is $109 a month, or $100 a month billed yearly.
- Square Appointments for groomers: Square fits a groomer who wants a free plan and a card reader at the counter. Square Free is $0 a month per location, and no-show fees come with Plus at $49.
- Free dog grooming software: a free tier makes sense for a groomer just starting out with a small book. Goldie's free Starter plan, for example, covers 20 appointments a month for one user.

Picking the right grooming software
Which grooming software is cheapest?
Free tiers are the cheapest: Square Free and Goldie's Starter plan cost nothing a month, each with limits. Among the entry plans we checked on 22 September 2026, FurSlot starts at $19, DaySmart Pet at $29 with its own payments, MoeGo at $49 and Gingr at $109. Check what each charges to take a card as well, because you pay that fee on each card payment.
Is FurSlot right for a groomer with more than one van?
Most likely not. FurSlot has no route planning and no scheduling across vans, and its Team plan gives up to 5 groomer profiles under one login without staff logins. You would do better with software made for fleets, such as MoeGo, whose Growth and Ultimate plans add multi-van scheduling and route planning, priced per van.
Why do these pages say what competitors do better?
Because you cannot choose well from a comparison that hides the other side. Most of these products do well at the job their makers designed them for, so the useful question is which one fits your business. A kennel needs kennel tools and a fleet needs routing, while a solo groomer may need neither.
Can I bring my clients over from another tool?
In most cases, yes. FurSlot imports a CSV spreadsheet and matches columns by name, so exports from other booking tools tend to work, though we do not promise any vendor's format. If the file will not line up, or all you have is a paper book, email it over and we type it in.
