Booking software for solo and independent dog groomers
Last updated July 21, 2026
Most grooming software is priced and built for salons with a front desk. If you are the groomer, the receptionist, the bather, and the person answering the phone with wet hands, the calculation is different. You need bookings to happen without you, and you need the tool to cost less than one groom a month.
The setup problem nobody warns you about
Every booking tool asks you to build a service list before it does anything useful. That means entering, for every service you offer, how long it takes and what it costs. Do it properly and you are describing a Bichon and a Bernese Mountain Dog with different times and different prices, which is dozens of rows before you have taken a single booking. Most groomers never finish. They enter five or six generic services, book everything as "full groom", and end up with a calendar that promises a client a two hour slot for a dog that needs four. FurSlot arrives with 204 breeds already filled in, each with a groom time and a price. You are editing a list, not writing one.
Your booking page, live the day you sign up
Signing up gives you a public booking page at a URL you can share: your slug, your shop name, your services, your prices. Put it in your Instagram bio, on your Google Business Profile, in your text signature. It works on a phone, which is where your clients are. Clients pick the dog's breed, the service, and a time. If the dog is a mix, they can add a second breed and FurSlot blends the time and price between the two. If the coat is matted, that is an option too, and the appointment blocks the extra time it needs.
24/7 booking, because your clients decide at nine in the evening
The bookings you lose are mostly the ones that happened at nine at night, when someone looked at the dog, thought "that is getting bad", and you were not answering the phone. A booking page does not sleep, does not have wet hands, and does not forget to write the appointment down. Self-service booking also kills the back and forth: no "what have you got Thursday", no three-message exchange to land on a time. The client sees your real availability and takes a slot out of it.
Deposits, if you want them
You can require a deposit at booking, keep a card on file, and charge a no-show fee afterwards. All of it is optional and all of the settings are yours: deposit type and amount, no-show fee, cancellation window. If you would rather not take deposits, the booking page works without them. The full detail is on our deposits and no-show fees page, and if missed appointments are the reason you are here, the guide to stopping no-shows covers the policy side.
One flat price, no per-ticket cut
Solo is $19 a month, Pro is $24, Team is $49. Billed monthly, cancel any time, with a 14-day free trial. FurSlot does not take a percentage of anything. Deposits and no-show fees run through Stripe Connect direct charges, which makes your business the merchant of record: the money lands in your Stripe account and your name is what shows on the client's statement. You pay Stripe's standard processing rate, and you pay FurSlot a flat monthly fee. Nothing scales with how busy you get. When you compare tools, this is the line to check carefully. A low headline price with a per-ticket percentage or per-text charge can cost considerably more at volume than a higher flat plan. Work out the cost at your actual booking numbers, not at zero.
Who FurSlot is not for
Simple is a choice, and it has a cost you should understand before signing up. FurSlot does one job: it takes dog grooming bookings, holds a card, and enforces your deposit and no-show policy. It is not a full business suite. If you need retail inventory, boarding and daycare management, multi-van route optimization, or payroll, FurSlot is the wrong tool and you will be happier paying more for something larger. If you groom dogs and want the booking part to stop eating your evenings, it is the right size.
What is the easiest grooming booking setup for a solo groomer?
The fastest setup is one where the service list already exists. FurSlot preloads 204 breeds with times and prices, so setup means adjusting numbers to your market rather than building a price list from nothing. Most solo groomers are live on their booking page the same day they sign up.
Is there cheap scheduling software for a single groomer?
FurSlot's Solo plan is $19 a month with a 14-day free trial, and it takes no percentage of your bookings. When comparing prices, check whether a plan charges per ticket or per text as well. A low headline price with per-transaction fees can cost more at volume.
