The three things cheap booking tools get wrong

It does not know breeds

Most tools treat a Poodle and a Pug the same, so groomers book by weight or build every service by hand. FurSlot comes with 204 breeds already filled in. The time and price are right before the client finishes typing.

It cannot stop a no-show

Without a card on file, your no-show fee is a request, not a rule. A missed slot costs you $75 to $150. FurSlot takes a card through Stripe at booking, so the fee is there when you decide to use it.

It keeps you in the DMs

Booking by DM and text tag is unpaid admin. Your FurSlot link shows the real price, takes the card, and fills the slot while your hands stay on the dog.

The differentiator

Hundreds of breeds arrive already priced. You never build a price list by hand.

Every other tool makes you build each service, for each dog, one row at a time. FurSlot ships the whole matrix filled in with a realistic groom time and price for every breed, so you start from working numbers, never from zero.

  • Every breed, preloadedFrom Yorkies to Newfoundlands: time and price for bath, full groom, and nails.
  • Start finished, not blankYour matrix arrives filled in on day one, not as an empty spreadsheet to build.
  • Mixed breeds blendA Lab-Poodle mix gets a fair blend of both breeds, not a flat guess.

How it works

1

Set your breeds once

Start from 204 breeds with working default times and prices. Adjust any cell to match your shop.

2

Share your booking link

Clients pick their dog's breed and a slot. The time and price fill themselves in. A card is required to book, entered on Stripe's checkout, never on your page or ours.

3

The day runs itself

Every booking lands on your calendar. A reminder goes out before each one, by text or email, so nobody is ringing round the night before.

4

Get paid either way

Reminder texts cut no-shows. When one slips through anyway, the card is already there. You decide whether to charge the fee: FurSlot never charges a client without you.

A note from the founder

I built FurSlot after watching solo groomers lose a slot a week to no-shows and spend their evenings quoting prices over text.

So every breed arrives priced, every booking holds a card on file, and your page is live the day you sign up. It's $19 a month, there's one of me, and you can reach me at hello@furslot.com.

Frequently asked questions

Questions groomers actually ask

I book on paper. How do I get my clients in without retyping everything?

Put your book in a spreadsheet with columns headed Client name, Phone, Pet name, Breed and Notes, save it as a CSV, and upload it under Clients then Import CSV. It all lands in one go. Switching from other software? Export from there and upload that file as it is, since the importer reads the usual column names on its own. The setup guide walks through it.

Can it bring my appointments across too, or just the names?

Both. Add Date and Time columns and every row becomes a real booking on your calendar. Dates written the way you normally would, like "Tue, Sep 1, 2026" or "9/1/2026", both read fine, and a slot written "10:00 AM - 10:30 AM" counts as one appointment rather than two. Upload the same file twice by accident and nothing doubles up.

My imported dogs say "Breed not set". Does that matter?

Yes, more than anything else. The groom time and the price both come from the breed, so a dog without one has neither. Fix a single dog from its profile page, or add a Breed column to your spreadsheet and upload it again to fill every blank at once. Anything you already corrected by hand is left alone.

I cannot log back in. What am I doing wrong?

Usually the email. You have to type the whole address including the part after the @, and it has to be the address you signed up with, which is not always the one you normally email from. After your password we send a six digit code to that same inbox, which is normal rather than an error, and it only asks once per computer.

Why did my clients not get a reminder?

Because there is no way to reach them yet. A text needs a mobile number and that client's agreement; an email needs an email address. Clients brought over from paper usually have neither. Open the dog's page, fill in the Owner box, and an email address on its own is enough to get a reminder out.

Can I see my bookings in the calendar on my phone?

Yes. Settings has a calendar feed URL you subscribe to in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. New bookings appear on their own and there is nothing to export again. Treat the link like a password, because anyone holding it can read your schedule.

Someone booked over the phone. Can I add it myself?

Yes, with Add appointment on your dashboard. Search for a dog already on file, or add a walk-in and the owner and pet save into your book at the same time. It behaves like any other booking from there, reminder included.

What happens when the free trial ends?

Nothing is deleted. Your clients, pets, appointments and your whole breed matrix stay exactly as you left them, your dashboard and booking page pause, and choosing a plan switches everything back on straight away. We email you before the trial ends rather than letting it catch you out.

Honest about the field

We are not the cheapest, and a few rivals do breeds too. Here is the honest difference, and we checked it on each one's own website: their breed pricing is something you build by hand, service by service. FurSlot is the one that arrives already filled in, with a deposit flow built entirely around stopping no-shows, from $19 a month. If a cheaper tool already covers what you need, use it. We will even tell you which one.
