A MoeGo alternative for one groomer with one chair

Updated 22 September 2026. Competitor details checked 22 September 2026

MoeGo does a lot, and its own pricing page shows where the company is going, with plans priced per van and per location, up to franchise tools. If you groom alone, from one van or one table, FurSlot covers less ground and charges $19 to $49 a month flat, with 243 breeds already priced the day you sign up.

MoeGo's per-van pricing for a one-van groomer

MoeGo's cheapest mobile grooming plan is $49 a month for one person, and its salon plans start at $79. Route reordering, a multi-van calendar and marketing campaigns start on Growth at $99 a month, priced per van. FurSlot charges a flat $19, $24 or $49 a month, with no per-van price.

MoeGo beats FurSlot on a long list of things, and you will find all of them in the next section. MoeGo plans your driving, keeps two-way messages in one place, takes cards on a reader and collects signed agreements, and FurSlot does none of that. FurSlot arrives with 243 breeds already priced. It charges deposits on your own Stripe account without taking a percentage, and you decide each no-show fee yourself. If you run more than one van, stay on MoeGo, for the reasons in the last section of this page.

MoeGo features FurSlot lacks

From MoeGo's own pricing page, checked 22 September 2026:

  • Less driving. All MoeGo plans include its Smart Schedule, which MoeGo says keeps the driving between appointments down. Growth adds one-click reordering of the whole day for the least driving.
  • More than one van. Growth adds multi-van scheduling, and all plans above Basic allow unlimited team members.
  • Two-way messages. Basic already has them, with all your conversations in one place, plus mass texts to your client list.
  • Card readers. MoeGo's built-in processor takes cards in person on a reader or terminal, as well as online.
  • Digital agreements. Clients sign by text, in person or through online booking.
  • Growth tools. From Growth up, MoeGo adds a standby list for openings, marketing campaigns and discounts, and a custom price model.
  • Higher tiers and boarding. Ultimate adds a branded phone number and Enterprise adds an API, and MoeGo sells plans for boarding and daycare.

FurSlot also lacks all of the following, whichever tool you compare it with:

  • No phone app for you or your clients. FurSlot runs as a website in the phone's browser.
  • No repeating bookings. You book each visit yourself, up to a year ahead.
  • No booking several dogs in one checkout.
  • No add-ons picked at booking, and no intake forms or waivers.
  • No packages, memberships, tipping, loyalty points or gift cards.
  • No staff logins or permissions. Team gives up to 5 groomer profiles, each with its own calendar, run from your one login.
  • No boarding or daycare.
  • No API, webhooks or Zapier.
  • No branding on the booking page: no logo, no colours, no custom domain, and a "Powered by FurSlot" footer.
  • No standby list, no buffer time between dogs, no time-off blocks.
  • No calendar that syncs both ways with Google. You get a calendar feed to subscribe to, one way only.
  • No texting back and forth. The only replies FurSlot acts on are STOP and START.

FurSlot features missing from MoeGo's pricing page

MoeGo's pricing page mentions none of these, which doesn't prove MoeGo can't do them.

  • A breed price list already filled in. Sign up and you start with 243 breeds, each with a time and a price for a Full Groom, a Bath and Brush and a Nail Trim. MoeGo lists a custom price model on Growth but does not advertise a filled-in breed list. Read how the breed matrix works.
  • Your own Stripe account. FurSlot charges deposits and no-show fees on your Stripe account, so your business is the merchant on the client's statement. You pay Stripe's fees to Stripe, and FurSlot takes no percentage of any groom. Read why that matters.
  • Ask me every time. By default, FurSlot asks you first when a client no-shows and shows you the fee, the client and the card's last four digits. You can set the whole shop, or one client, to never charge or to charge without asking.
  • Mixes and matted coats. FurSlot prices a doodle booked as two breeds between the two, and gives a coat booked as matted a longer slot before the client pays, so the extra work doesn't spill into your next dog's time.
  • Your data out any time. You can download clients, pets and appointments as a spreadsheet from Settings, even from a locked account.

MoeGo and FurSlot prices, checked 22 September 2026

Moving your client list over

There's no MoeGo importer in FurSlot. Instead you use the spreadsheet import, which reads the usual column names whatever software made the file: client or owner name, phone, pet or dog name, breed, notes, and a date and time if you want appointments to come across. If you can get your client list out as a CSV file, you can upload it.

FurSlot shows you a preview and saves nothing until you confirm, and it flags any breed that could match more than one row instead of guessing. Run the same file again and FurSlot updates those clients instead of doubling them. If your list is a mess, email it over and we will type it in for you. We cover the whole move in the switching guide.

Reasons to stay on MoeGo

Stay on MoeGo if you run more than one van, if its route planning saves you real driving, if your clients text you and expect an answer in the same thread, if you take cards on a reader at the van door, or if you board dogs. FurSlot cannot do any of those, and switching would cost you more than the monthly difference.

Switch if you groom alone, your clients are happy to book from a link, and you spend your evenings quoting prices and chasing no-shows. Compare the other options, or see how FurSlot handles a one-van mobile business.

Leaving MoeGo for FurSlot

Can I bring my MoeGo client list into FurSlot?

Yes, if you can get it out as a spreadsheet. FurSlot imports CSV files from any software by matching common column names like client, phone, pet and breed, and it shows you a preview before it saves anything. There is no MoeGo-specific importer, so check the preview. If the file is messy, email it to us and we will type it in for you.

Is FurSlot cheaper than MoeGo?

On published prices, yes. On 22 September 2026 MoeGo's pricing page listed Basic at $49 a month for mobile grooming with one member and $79 for a salon, with Growth and Ultimate priced per van or per location. FurSlot is $19, $24 or $49 a month flat, and you pay Stripe's card fees on top, straight to Stripe.

Does FurSlot do route planning like MoeGo?

No. FurSlot does not plan or reorder your driving, and it does not put more than one van on one calendar. MoeGo does both, with route reordering on its Growth plan, priced per van. If route planning cuts your driving time, stay with a tool that has it.

Do my clients need to download anything?

No. Your clients book from a link to your own booking page, which opens in any phone browser. They pick the dog, the breed and the service, see the real price, and pay the deposit on Stripe's own checkout page. There is no app to install and no account for them to create.
